We wanted our autumn wedding to be a rustic yet sophisticated one.
I wanted an antique-looking lace dress. My mom came for the weekend and after one exhausting day shopping, I almost gave up. The first dress I tried on the second day was “the one.” I got teary, and even my mom (who had been disagreeing with me) said it was perfect!
For the bridesmaids, I wanted muted colors to represent fall without being too Thanksgivingy. Because Nate and his groomsmen all hate wearing suits, I chose khakis- with a vest for him and suspenders for the guys.
